Anime Expo is a well known convention for anime and manga readers that brings in people from all over the world. As there are many children and younger adults attending we wanted the branding to feel more aligned with our audience and give them something they could easily relate to or notice. We wanted to include pieces of manga and also pieces of anime so we decided on a branding idea of overlaying colored anime pieces on top of black and white manga pieces. Red, orange and yellow are used in many anime’s and we wanted those colors to be the main colors for Anime Expo.
